Don't feel bad.I sat with a friend in mid/late march who has recently opened an account with Schwab helping him out on his initial purchase of CSCO and QCOM.I advised him to wait until after the tax deadline and said that we should get a 10% to 15% correction.I said I was planning on going 100% cash until then.Instead of following my own advice,I was busy attending seminars for work and actually bought more into the market.Once this started,I could not bring myself to sell.ONLY saving Grace is,I don't use Margin and at this point doing nothing is the best way of handling it.I would definitely not use margin to try make up the losses. You are fighting forces much bigger than any Individual investor and will only Compound this.I have a feeling people bought big into yesterdays rally and are now forced to sell due to margin calls.
There is a time when you have to accept the losses and move on.If you have solid stocks they will all come back.
