Some big name analyst may come out next week and tell the world the tech is now undervalued. The problem is many won't have money to put in the market anymore. :)))

The big difference between this one and 1998 is that the relative valuations are still higher, and the fed will not be coming to the rescue.

On the other hand, we are not facing a recession or dealing with a big uptick in bonds. Growth in the tech industry has accelerated

I think we will be ok soon(in points and days). But I also think we will take back the ground grudgingly, taking a year to recover instead of 8 weeks like in 1998.
