I think that as people increasingly view the reality of advancing technology as a "double edged sword", much of their irrational exuberance and cheerfulness about the subject will melt away like the winter snow under a strong spring sun..... It will take very powerful laws with rigid enforcement to protect our privacy and freedom from further erosion, and so far, I do not see the will for that protection to take place, with the people acting more like "sheeple" more than anything else.....
