But I don't see any proof that morality is innate- I think the ability to reason is innate. But that's about as far as I'll go. If you mean morality is equivalent to the ability to reason and make judgments then I'd agree that is innate- but I don't think they are the same thing.

Probably true. X and I are not saying nothing is innate. We are saying that what is innate is not morality, but the social instinct which forces us to define moral codes.

I thought about this when I saw Steven had replied to it. Why would you think I wouldn't want to admit that we are in agreement? I wouldn't argue with you if I thought we agreed. I like to argue, that's true enough, but there is plenty to argue about without pretending I don't agree with people I actually do agree with- which is what your statement seems to suggest.

Did you mean to suggest that?
