BOBJ -11 7/8 .. hello.. shouldn't you have waited a day or so for your announcement? Was this meant for the stock to move up. I was stopped out of BOBJ on 4/11 after losing 4 points profits, a little disgrunted (80) but none too worse for wear. Since then its been bounding down even more now its 72 but the good news still keeps rolling out. Now I'm not sure all these announcements are not ploys to artificially move these stocks up once again. Today I wasn't 'buying' any of this.

[Editor's note]ad nauseum.. Traders and individual investors are posting news of this sort in chat rooms on message boards when this news is only good for 1 day at the most and nothing at the very least. Much of the time the news is posted AFTER the stock has reached intraday highs. Posters and traders act as if this means clean sailing for days to come, when in actuality all it means is 'CAUTION: sell-off pending'.

We should be watching the charts and ignore anything but 'earnings news' and even those just file away and act only as the charts move with the news. When you are buying the 'news' others more experienced are 'selling the news'. And while you might get a little more gusto after a good earnings report, it still means sell the news, only at the intraday high or slightly off, instead of in the morning.

When CMGI comes back is directly related to to the market stabilizing and becoming receptive again for IPO mania. This is something that goes in cycles and we have entered a low cycle. The up-cycle will probably have to wait until next Fall. Meanwhile, CMGI's revenues will continue to explode(20% / quarter) and will eventually become the factor that determines its price rather than being dependent solely on its stable of IPO candidates.
