Yes, it is a bear market. There has been a bearmarket in old economy stocks for 2 years as constituted by the A/D line since April 98. Now the Bear has passed to the new era stocks. Margin calls and over leveragedness has made the situation worse. I see another LTCM coming out soon. The gold stocks performed beautifully today. I'm quite impressed. Aren't they suppose to crash with the rest of the market? <ggg> The real test will be, however, next week when the NDX most likely bounces. I'd like to see the gold stocks keep their gains and rally further.
