Lynn

Nice to hear from you. I was down visiting my mom who is in a nursing home the last couple of hours and was away from the computer. Alot of things are more important than money.

I have to agree with you that the only thing we should be doing now is picking up some bargains if they surface. Going through 87 taught me a lot. So when I see what's happened the last few days I almost yawn!

This is the time when investors can make a lot of $$$.

Cool heads prevail here!

Regards,

Eric

If people sell here they are really stupid!

Probably fear more than stupidity is motivating the sellers.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. This decline has brought my portfolio to the same level as it was on December 9th, 1999, a four month setback. Against the backdrop of a thousand fold increase over ten years, this retreat has the significance of a mosquito biting a buffalo.

P.P.S.

It looks like we've acquired a new thread moron. It's been a while since we've gained some 'fresh blood' in this department. Fortunately, we can invoke SI's 'ignore' once they lose their entertainment value and become boring, provided they don't exhaust themselves first. The latest bunch seem more persistent: never underestimate the power of envy!

Lynn,

Honest, patient, evaluative response by you. How many 'investors' A) think long term; B) research their companies (CSCO) c) tune in to the real world as you have ?

Sell Cisco? Our economy is great, unemployment low, everybody's buying commodities. Let's get real. Obviously, it is time for Wall Street and the uber-investors feel they need to generate commissions and/or excitment. The financial media is having a hey-day.

Time to buy.

Maybe even on margin.

P.S. I 'retired' this year at 52 in part due to CSCO and, in part, not listening (like you) to others [not in the real world].
