I don't know about you guys, but back in the days of yore (Feb 4, 2000) I was delighted when this thing broke 75 (split adjusted). Well, $80 is 6.66% higher than that, ain't it? And in only two months! That could yield over 40% in 12 months, couldn't it?

"A lot of money" may be a significant understatement! Look at the record profits being reported last and this week for the financials. All of them I saw were beating estimates, and some by as much as 80% !! Undoubtedly, venture capital returns figure strongly in these numbers, but the same VC money is now exposed to the vagaries of the market, and I bet we see much smaller numbers, probably even failure to meet expectations next quarter (which will pump up following the great numbers THIS quarter), and then Boom! it all stampedes the other direction.

If I were a futurist nay-sayer, I could even predict a "psychological recession" in 1-2 quarters, driven by market whiplash. The general economy is too sound, apparently, for this to be true for now, thank goodness <knocking on head>
