I watched CNBC for much of Friday (call me a masochist). What struck me more than anything was how out-of-place the commercials seemed! But now I hear they're going to re-write some of the commercials to fit the new, more bearish, atmosphere.

For example, the new version of the commercial for the CNBC.com ticker will go something like this:

Guy at computer: (flat) "Mine." (sighs) "Mine." (grimaces) "Mine."
(covers face) "Mine." (brightens) "Sold it!" (disgusted) "Bought it back."

[annoucer interlude]

Guy looking on: "Say what's that, is that yours?"
Guy at computer: "Shut up."
