The market will do its thing, but in the long run it's stock selection that makes money.> I basically agree -- then it is a matter of deciding which companies make the grade and what price to pay -- but I differ on one point -- you CAN pay too much IMO.

William, "Stick with great businesses and great managers."
It took me many years of investment and career experience before I realized the importance of the latter, "great management". I used to work in a small company that has very innovative technology and excellent engineering team, QCOM and others wanted to buy us out in 1997 but were turned down, the company finally got sold to a Taiwanese company at book value in 1998!

William,I also remember that a lot of people wanted to short YHOO and you advised them ,don't ,the fundamentals are too great.HOW RIGHT YOU WERE
