I enjoyed your comments as always, Spirit. I hope you are right about Monday. We could all use a break from the pressure. Cash was certainly king. The best of my Dow holdings and value plays were also down. . .and I was pretty heavy in banks. . .so that may have hurt more so than techs.

But one bet I would not take . . . is that after all this volatility. . .the market would fail to bounce. I would think the odds against that happening in modern times are pretty great.

And if that is the case, then it is just a simple waiting game. . .before any lost gains reappear. So today I sold some 3-letter stocks that weren't holding up under pressure. . . but I averaged down on my strong bouncers and solid stocks. . .and picked up a few bargains to boot.

Since then, I have made a want list of bargains here. . . but I'll need another sheet of paper to finish it. <g>

Modest little rally at day's end. just shorts
covering short positions..no real buyers..
---------------
Remember shorts take profits too..and after sell offs
the first few rallies are just a form of profit taking by shorts. A sharp sell off like this one will take several
bottom "testing" trips..
