panic,

<This does not bode well for the likes of INTC, DELL, etc.

famulus.msnbc.com >

That was a nice article. Thanks for posting. I wonder what the folks who like to give a PE of 60 to investment income feel about this development!

<What do think if INTC misses a penny or provides dire Q2 guidance? Do you think if it's possible for some big name analysts to downgrade INTC and upgrade AMD simultaneously?>

Possible but I wouldn't count on it. There is too much of lemming like mentality in the short-term.

panic,

When I suggested to Paul Engel, that it would be a better idea for Intel to give some of the profits back to the investors, if there were not any good investment opportunities in their core business. I suggested that it's not a good idea for Intel to play venture capitalist with investor's money.

Paul of course laughed off the idea and pointed to Q4 gains. Well, I am not sure how he would feel to find that he became an investor in eToys and CDNow through his ownership of Intel shares.
