Nothing's OT on the Porch, Annette . . . . Especially tonight. You might want to go check out my posts on the SI thread, "About that Cuban, boy." That's an interesting public forum in which I have explained my love for the Cuban people and absolute bewilderment at both the actions of Fidel Castro and the U.S. government over the past 40 years. With the help of the U.S. government, Fidel has turned that lovely island and its glorious people into an island prison and prisoners, respectively. He rails at the embargo, hoodwinking the populace into believing he hates the Unted States. In fact, he loves how the United States has empowered him. He will rot in hell. I am sure Elian's father lives in fear of retribution if he does not go along with the "party line." The Cuban people are sickened by Fidel's almost daily speeches on the matter. His obsession with the issue trivializes the country. John
