Steve, I can help you out on the praying part but not so much on the counseling. You are telling a man that there is a cure for his disease but he is not looking for a cure, rather he is looking for proof that he has even been infected.

Dear Steve, Once he has been under the sway of professed homosexuals, nothing short of him getting HIV will cause him to question his life style.

We watch championship ice skating and one of the top skaters, Rudy Galinda who is an admitted homosexual, has contracted HIV. He was willing to talk about it on national TV just like it was a normal thing.

The consensus of our world is not to condemn him for being a homo, but to wear red ribbons and sympathize with him about getting the disease.

I'll tell you a secret. No Christian can deliver or cure a homosexual. They are dead set against admitting that their lifestyle is wrong and they will resent you if you tell them so. Only GOd can convince one of his or her perverted life and that is usually through pain and sickness caused by their bad choices.

God loves our prayers, and I wish you all the best with your offer of help to your friend but I would suggest you talk to God instead of telling him about what the Bible says about it. He will not accept condemnation, only a good listener will be welcome to him.

James

Steve, Check out Leviticus, 18:22; "Do not practice homosexuality;it is a detestable sin.", and Leviticus, 20:13; "The penalty for homosexual acts is death to both parties." There is also a reference to the sin of homosexuality in Paul's letter to the Romans. I hope this helps, and wish you good luck in you endeavor. This is not an easy task for you, and is very difficult to achieve any good results. ~H~
