It just occurred to me that a U/D plot probably has the same information as a candlestick plot of the index. I wonder if it's worth spending any more time on U/D plots.

There really isn't enough data. One point that sticks out are the two lines which extend all the way to the bottom, one black and one red. The black one pre-saged an upward trend.

Well, no one said this was going to be easy.
