DK, I answered CB on the"story" issue.

I didn't mean to imply that all non-believers are sinners. Many of them are but, I have sense enough to know some are not. I don't think I accused you of being a sinner, and didn't intend to.

I do not use the term "born again" because, to me, it doesn't describe my situation. In many cases, when one accepts Jesus, they find that they are married to someone that does not share the depths of their beliefs, and will not accept the change in their spouse. Ultimately, this leads to a parting of the ways. This is one I can not blame on the liberal media. Darn it!!

Yes, some "professed Christians" sin, and willingly, because they use Christianity as a convenience for one reason or another. Quite often it is greed and they prey on innocent, and gullible, people. Even devout Christians are not perfect and, commit sins but, not without feeling remorse, repenting, and seeking forgiveness. Like I said, nobody's perfect. No human being can ever achieve perfection on Earth, IMO. But, at least, we try to live an honest, and worthwhile, life. ~H~

Let me guess, the first thought entering your mind upon seeing a response from me was along the lines of "Oh boy, here it comes." Not to worry. I only save those for the PM's. <vbg>

BTW, why do religious people always view non-believers as sinners? I don't cheat, lie, steal, kill, or drink more than a beer once in a while. I do it because it is the right thing to do in a civilized society, not because of a threatened punishment in the afterlife. That's a lot better than a lot of the professed Christians that I see around me.

Religious people viewing non-believers as sinners:

I believe somewhere in the New Testament of the Bible the following can be found...."All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Therefore, it isn't only the non-believers, but also those who have accepted Christ which are sinners. It is a falacy if one is under the impression that those of a religious nature do not sin. Speaking of sin, ever had an adulterous thought? (retorical)

I can think of one reason why most people would think twice about stealing and killing, and it has zero to do with the possibility of an afterlife.....prison. That being said, even those two things are forgivable if one believes in God's saving grace by way of Jesus Christ to the sin of a truly repentent heart.

Just dropped by....not planning on staying.

P.S. If your memory is half as good as mine, you'll understand the following:

It has nothing to do with being suicidal. It has everything to do with the illogical pursuit of exploiting futility.

It isn't personal.

No one in my family or group of friends who are religious--to the best of my knowledge--views nonbelievers as sinners!
