Who remembers the insanity of youth?

We went to Grampa's house for his 72nd birthday. The grandkids went berserk, running through the gardens and throwing gravel from the driveway onto the lawn. Inside the house they spilled drinks and knocked over plants. Grammy was totally stressed out. She must have forgotten the insanity of youth.

Baywatch
Black becomes grainy slate gray, then a featureless dark cylinder recedes into a hexagon of sliding bright terrain. It begins to drift and tumble as longitudinal doors abruptly shutter the rectangle.
Black screen many seconds, then the seams of the doors are highlighted in dazzling white.

I Cruise the Streets in My New Used LeBaron

I cruise the streets in my new used LeBaron.
Revered by all.

Whereas before,
I had to entice the
transplanted Manhattan beauties
with heaping buckets of
fresh corn on the roof,

Now, I merely wiggle my cigarillo
And they shed tears on the spot
knowing I'll soon break their hearts.

Kid, this is several months too late (oh, the things I've seen) but I see your challenge!

You know, I usually don't like to write anything too autobiographical, but since I'm a little rusty, I had to make an exception <g>
