H-Power needs 12,000 + GLE propane fuel cell stacks or else their going to loose their shirts on a $81 million supply deal.

"H Power's fuel cell systems are highly attractive for stationary power applications since their low emissions, low noise and high efficiency will allow them to be installed on location, eliminating expensive transmission and distribution costs. They will become viable supplements of central power stations because they provide non-polluting power sources for remote areas and serve as back-ups for conventional sources of power."

"Global is also developing fuel cell products for other stationary power applications, including small units in the 5 to 10 kilowatt range that may be used for home power generation. The units would run directly from natural gas producing both power and heat. The heat would be utilized through a heat exchanger for hot water or space heating needs. This market should increase substantially over the next few years as power deregulation becomes more common."

i.m.h.o. It would be like ham & eggs with Global Thermoelectric's stack, simpler to maintain and manufacture. The battery stays, place a GLE 5 kw stack where the reformer is, eliminate the 2 shelves of obselete stuff leaving the inverter, and propane tank.
