Go look it up yourself, John. It's not that long ago. When was the 820 supposed to ship, originally? When did it actually ship? What happened to all the 3-RIMM mobos that got pulled at the last minute? Are they all in the Rambus museum of brilliant engineering somewhere, or are they under seal as evidence in some other bogus lawsuit Rambus has planned?

Ok, just for you, John, a historical note, dating back to . . . yesterday. Feel free to ignore this, though, I wouldn't want to stand accused of messing with your self-evidently acute awareness situation. You are obviously well aware of the standard Rambus flack argument techniques.

Not too long ago, Chipzilla had a reputation for solid, reliable (if not particularly high-performing) mobos. The 820 with its slug-like MTH certainly maintains the modest performance part, but has undoubtedly permanently damaged Intel's reputation for quality motherboards. ©
