excellent digging from Yahoo, BlandMan
we certainly have seen a wicked compression of a few months into a single week or two
it surprised the hell out of me this week with no respite
a fresh week will bring fresh perspectives
fridays almost never produce rescues
and mondays usually continue the fridays
so I expect a weak open, followed by some tepid buyers

biggest Naz point gain in history could easily happen
buyers are strictly on the sidelines now
brokerage house are encouraging retail investors to step in
I wonder if houses themselves will step in

Galvin thinks 10:1 upside potential over downside risk
Battaglia thinks QCOM and JDSU are the best buys out there
Navallier strangely silent, probably a seller
he said on CNBC that we were good until May
his right hand has been accused of contradicting his mouth before, but I still like his thinking

maybe tax selling had as much to do with this week as the temporary inflation blip

I truly believe one month from now we might see a negative CPI based on pullbacks in energy costs... gasoline is 5-8 cents lower than two weeks ago, probably ditto for jet fuel... and why is tobacco in the core CPI rate?

thanks for the digging
