Elmer, Out of the mouths of babes comes the hard won admission that Intel did indeed make a badly hurried launch.
Thanks you.
Now AMD is making an orderly launch, sampling OEMs and mobo makers as well as chipset vendors who will all rapidly close the loop on errata and problems so the next iteration will be near perfect. In fact I expect that this has been done already and we in the perfected iteration phase for introduction in about 8 weeks. This is not a new project, it has been developed and out of the lab some time ago and seems to be ready for the first volume production in june.
It looks like AMD is making is executing properly. Of course we will not know it is perfect until the production volumes appear, but the top tier people have been shown functional final iteration parts and are getting their parts ordrs scheduled now.
I expect to see a real shakeup when the AMD's parts appear and kick the copperminus and it's subnormal clones squeaking into the undeclass space.
