Gary, I agree. My numbers are based on pre-ipo valuation and a 3-1 internal split that took effect 30 days before the IPO, tripling the number of shares that each person had been offered on the way in the door. Over the next 3-4 years, I would think it a fair statement that SCMR would at least double. In that time, NT, CSCO or LU would have to rise between 250-400% to yield the same return for new employees. I am not saying that SCMR is the best place to go to work. In this environment, I would still choose an interesting optical start-up over any of the options being discussed. There is the excitement and chance to earn the REAL $$. Of course this excitement generally dwindles once acquired so both the VC spending and new efforts start all over again. tp
