Ike,

No question that hedging strategies are extremely useful tools. It surprises me that they are used so infrequently even by some of our most sophisticated threaders. One fellow I talked to said that this was the first time he went into a correction that he was not in a market-neutral position. That told me a lot. Have we become way too complacent, or what?

<<i think you missed my point...if you want to be long in the high tech sector, fine, but why not offset it with a bit of the 'opposite' type of investment...>>

So how about energy services? That's what I have. Can you think of a sector more different from the techs than oil and gas rigs and supply ships? (I realize of course that some high tech is used nowadays in this bus, but you see my point?)
