Web programmers will always get the question "can it be done"? And if you have an ActiveX component, that makes it possible, the answer will be "yes". No matter how, there will always be some bad code running on an advanced web-server, and that's where *nix enforces the use of cgi on bad code, cleaning everything up afterwards. With MTS and COM+, things start to get much better, but also much more complicated for ordinary webmasters. But that's a cost vs. benefits discussion.
