mike, one point to add to the Japanese bubble vs US bubble is the fact that Japan had a high savings rate ans was the banker to the world -this gave them much more room to attempt to reflate ( push on a string). The U.S. will not have that luxury going forward due to low-negative savings rate ( It depends on what you call savings as Clinton would say) and our heavy reliance on foreign capital. I know you are aware of this so i am posting for the lurkers. will is a compassionate bear who abhors TL & EV but cannot stop it. mike
