Scumbria: Yes, I believe that Samsung acknowledged very low yields in the early stages of RDRAM production. But your question still does not address my request that you provide some support for your allegation of low yields. Do you have something substantial to base this on, or is it merely speculation/wishful thinking?

Do you believe that if a manufacturer was experiencing poor yields on a critical product, they would make that information public?

Then as multicollinearity pointed out, it could be due to a variety of reasons, not just your reason. All he's asking for is the source that led you to your conclusion versus the set of other conclusions. Can you do that (asked only in an objective tone of voice)? Give us steps A, B, C, ... that led to your conclusion and then we can test your assumptions.
