I don't think we have seen any panic selling yet!

LG, I fully agree. The online accounts were buying heavily throughout the dive, as shown by the Ameritrade figures. In fact they were buying more on Friday than on Thursday. Definitely NOT a panic.

If the online traders and the mutual fund holders start selling, the picture is not going to be pretty.

BTW, Barron's reports that for the week ending Wednesday there were $8.5 billion of inflows into equity funds and further withdrawals from bond funds. Equity fund inflows have continued unabated during this "correction". But they are being overwhelmed by insider selling.
