You know Rog, I read that poem long ago as a kid but of course didn't realize how amazingly on-the-mark it is. It's not exactly poetry in the Frost-Ginsburg-Rimbaud sense; it's more like greeting-card doggerel written by God. But every line of it sure looks a lot deeper after you've lived a few decades than after you've lived a few years. It's applicable to a lot more situations than stock fluctuations...e.g., what happens every day.

I copied the Kipling poem into a book of poetry by Carl Sandburg when I was a teenager. Now is a good time to review it!
