wow what a week!! here are some of my random thoughts to myself 1. give up on trying to time a bottom, your getting killed 2. if we get a gap up monday morning, sell into it 3. used to say go long till your wrong, been wrong, now the bears are in control, dont fight the tape 4. big gap down monday, buy for bounce, not for hold, this bear aint dead yet, although i would expect a bounce off 2900-3000 area 5. keep in mind major players like intc,msft,aol report earnings next week, they have the power to kill the bear--but the market has not been going up on good news, so consider it a tradeable bounce at best 6.dont buy any "story stocks", stay with the leaders, 2nd and 3rd tiers are pretty much dead till fall 7. after reading #6, what do i do with lptha? (always exceptions to every rule) 8.leaders list to play for bounce (that i promised not to try to time) orcl klac amat sunw jdsu aeth 9. hear looks cheap, but read #6 10. alta vista ipo just got pulled, dont buy cmgi, there are better plays (sorry spirit) 11. banks with good dividends are good investments here as fed tightening will not last past june imo, my favorite is national city bank 12. I dont have as many notes as Rande has questions, but i think he thinks about it more than i do <gg> 13. the world is not coming to an end, i still think the internet is a good idea 14. when in doubt, glean some insight from the regulars on this thread, some great brainpower here 15. hey , the markets are closed, what am i doing inside? later
