So what, if anything, would you be buying now?

Nothing right now. I have been a net seller this year so far and will be so for the foreseeable future. In the last few months, I have bought some BRKB, PG and JNJ. Plus I have renewed my "Beat the Dow-S&P Blend" mechanical portfolio with F, BAC, CAT and EK.

I still see a lot of complacency, if not outright bullishness, and I just don't like it. My informal "buy" signals would be an S&P dividend yield of at least 2.5% to 3%, a Congressional session to discuss the possibility of stock-market manipulation and to decide whom to blame for what happened, and the sight of a few internet company executives being led to police cars in handcuffs.
