Jim: re:After "the bounce" the DOW and NASDAQ could go a lot lower.
I have some levels but I don't want to scare you to death.

Why do you feel that this will occur?
Where did you read about this possibility?
Sam

I think the margin call scenario pretty valid.
I'm still working on the floor of this drop. Right now it's looking like 3050-3125 "if" we drop out of the gate on Monday with an outside shot at 2940. The DOW should stop dropping no later than a little less than 10,000.

Jim,

I understand that when there are no buyers, the price drops. All evidence points that Friday was not a panic sell off due to margin calls. The lack of buyers caused the prices to drop and not the sellers. And the selloff was fairly orderly.

Having said that, I think the markets are being positioned to go up Monday. That's why A. Cohen was on with M. Bartiromo.......both move the markets; A. more effectively than M. Cohen said there is nothing wrong with the economy and then when asked about whether she would buy on Monday, she became very coy and said we have to crunch numbers this weekend and then she will see.

I agree with you that the markets probably first will go down before they go up on Monday. Like I said before, this whole thing feels orchestrated to me.
