it's refreshing to see that after all Warren is in and the Ponzi stuff is out.

Jacques Newey. OT OT Re: "You're starting to sound a lot like the Oracle of Omaha!" Buffett still makes the most sense (along with Philip Fisher) of all the people I've studied. And I admire his sharing of his insights via his annual report. Have you heard of "The Essays of Warren Buffett: Lessons for Corporate America"? Lawrence A. Cunningham, a law professor at Cardozo School of Law selected and arranged the essays based on his letters to stockholders over the years. They are excellent and worth reading. They are available from the school. Let me know if you are interested.

Re: "I took the opportunity to pick up some BRK shares with some INTC profits." That may have been a good trade off when Intel was in the 130's. My problem with BRK is that most of the business is insurance which I don't understand. But he goes into it in some detail in this year's letter and I will study it.

Re:"I hereby predict that value investing, by Graham's definition the only form of investing, will come back into vogue." Eventually it will, but I'm not convinced that the downdraft is over. (A lot will depend on the economy.) When you look at '73-'74, you see that the more realistically valued stocks came back faster when the carnage was over, while the high PE stocks never came back.

Re: "All the best and thanks for your consistently excellent posts." Thank you and good luck with your investments.
