It's Att who must move to acquire or partner to utilize German distribution systems. Att would like to get the PCAG jewel, but that wouldn't be cheap or easy. The competitive powers that be are looking towards AOL-TWX, but no one wants to commit just yet. It depends on how viable is Att's network infrastructure and how robust is the @Home deployment. If @Home scales well and generates ancillary revenues for German MSOs and is first to market with scope and depth, then they'll win the interest of DT's stepchildren. Att needs to get other issues off the table before they can advance to effectively embracing the world.
