Please spare us the cultural prejudices & insults. The point, and one followed by those who study such matters, is that Mars, transiting Jupiter & Saturn, all within Taurus, happens to coincide w/current market events. Now this may hold no meaning to you because like your handle says, like to 'keepitsimple'. Others however, have the ability to embrace a multiplicity of qualities, whose collective imagery may provide an archetypal background upon which events are seen to play out. Now, if you want to do some real work, & learn something instead of parroting back ignorant collective bias as knowledge, go buy the book 'Key Words for Astrology' by Hajo Banzhaf & Anna Gaebler. It will cost you about $17, & provide you with a clear, concise reference for understanding what the various planetary images, alone & in combination mean. Words, act as images, and as such are cultural containers. The astrological language is the oldest and as such has become associated w/certain imagery. Weather you believe it, or understand it, is not important, but the FACTS remain that the current celestial transits, correspond in an uncannily accurate way w/the associated imagery & actions playing out within the stock markets. The corresponding archetypal imagery presented by the houses, aspects & transits reflects accurately the collective psychological challenges presented within the current market environment. Mars was conjunct Saturn on Friday, Monday (moonday) it will be 1 degree off & moving away. Does this correspond w/a bottom, who knows, but don't pretend that your lack of understanding pertaining to the oldest of knowledge systems, precludes those who value such, from gaining insight provided by the complex imagery associated w/astrology.

<BTW- do you have any financial connection with the perpetrator of this fraud? I noticed you spamming the message boards bright and early about it.>

The only person I've been conversing with on SI about this ... has been YOU. Particularly since you're trying to imply some conspiracy between greenspun forums AND ezboard forums AND poor ole "LunaC" who made the astrological forecast, and who has no idea I posted that Apr 14 prediction here.

"LunaC" has made 5 posts on ezboard in 2 months. He/she doesn't even have an email address in personal profile on ezboard or greenspun.

You've made a lot more posts in one day, as have I ... responding to YOU. A lot more than "LunaC" in the past 2 months.

So who's spamming??? Like I said. I don't even read my horoscope each day. I don't even know what section it is in the newspaper. Nonetheless, I don't discredit astrology. I see it as an additional tool. I give it the same credence as TA & FA with tracking the market. I'll tell you one thing. I was very impressed that he/she got the market meltdown date right. And I'm thinking that maybe I should incorporate astrology into my thinking. Not just because of that, but when I read that link there was a reference about major changes occurring every 29 years or so. When I went back that time period I was flabbergasted about what had occured in my personal timeframe.

You are SO hostile towards the thought of any validity with "astrology", that you create arguments with no substance. You just don't like nor believe in astrology. So you come up with this lame stuff about a "conspiracy" with people who maintain message boards.

Listen, Cheeky Kid hasn't liked nor respected me for a couple of years ... but he's a computer whiz. Ask him how a message board maintained by some guy at MIT ... which was closed down in early March [and moved to ezboard] ... had a thread archived and linked to ... by another message board ... this past Wednesday, April 12 ... BEFORE the market meltdown ... that others saw and responded to. You might consider yourself some computer whiz - but even though Cheeky Kid and I have been at odds. My guess is that he's smarter than you.

Cheryl

P.S. Cheeky - This has nothing to do with astrology. How technically could you do this stuff? If I hadn't seen it Wednesday, I might have thought the same thing. But to do what KIS is implying sounds pretty complex to me. One message board is easy. Buy 2 separate boards a few months apart ... and different people ... who I know ... who saw it in the same timeframe??

I just hate ridiculous, opinionated arguments. And I had a few hours on hand because it's been raining today to get involved with this. Kind of reminds me why I left SI in the first place. And why I don't participate in any on-line forums anymore. Guess it's good I ran into people who drove me crazy. Life is much better "off-line".
