Sam, there was a report in some paper I read, I don't recall
which it was (I read a lot) but it said specialist's were
already shorting more than 50% before last week and that
last week their shorting increased. Seems, at least if you
believe that article, that you are right.

There is so much money being made right now pushing this
market around, either up or down, that it worries me a lot
more than any individual stocks I own.

One of these days all this money being made so easy is going
to come to a rude halt.

Ken

Sam I agree with your points, especially the points made about the specialists and market makers. I sincerely wish that the Rico statutes could be applied here. IMHO this has been the equivalent of a mob hit on the American stock market. Nelson Bunker Hunt tried something similar with a far smaller market a few years back. There are other instances of such, especially in the Canadian markets.

What has made me particularly suspicious of this "market event" are the high premiums which significantly out of the money options have continued to hold.

Regards,

Ed
