My prediction: There won't be a strong return for the DOW until the institutions return. At first, the institutions will be hesitant to own the non-earnings techs due to volitility, fund managers scrutiny and need for safety. But after a while, this weeks' carnage will be as forgotten as last October's carnage. The desire to outperform NASDQ'S last year's 85% growth will overcome fears and trading will return to the usual, mostly because the funds are still in competition with each other as well as the need to ourperform last year. To do so, the institution will have to tolerate more risk again and the high flyers will soar again.

If you don't need the money, best thing to do with last week's paper losses is read magazines, watch TV and go to the movies for about 3 - 4 months. By then, things will be normal. If you got money..what an opportunity...!
