LTK007. Thanks for your note. 400% over three years is impressive enough but 50% this year is WOW. Congratulations. As folks here know I trade too but only with approx. 25% of my stuff and never since the early '80s on margin. 3 out of the last 4 years my trading account returns on a percentage basis have well exceeded those of my longer term account; but I attribute that more to an unusually beneficial market than to any astuteness on my part. I enjoy trading. It is plain fun; and, when things go really right, can make you feel like King Kong. When things go really wrong, it can make you feel like a whipped dog. Been there.

I still believe though that most people working to provide themselves with a comfortable retirement would be best advised to eschew short term trading in favor of long term investing. I've been doing that in my daughter's and son-in-law's account, and although still in their thirties their family's future looks secure. I believe the advisors you see who say be somewhat aggressive in your thirties, then more moderate into your fifties, and then somewhat conservative after that have it more right than wrong.

Congratulations again. I hope your future trades turn out to be even more rewarding.

Best regards,
OH
