What's the deal with MIPS? I thought they were swallowed by SGI, did they get regurgitated? I thought they were really cool years ago, I think the R4000 was maybe the first 64bit microprocessor, back in the late '80s? I got no idea what they've done lately, though.

MIPS was on my wish list for some time already. No apologies, I'm no lemming. But as you said the timing was terrible and their results were so-so. I'll see what I should do (if anything) next week after (I hope) the dust will have settled. I was joking, no problem, really.

My alternate suggestion, QEDI, dropped an even greater percentage.

We should all stick with AMD.
