Pete,

This is the "Molecular Dynamics" program. An Athlon 1000 Mhz does the benchmark in 36.91 seconds. A Coppermine 1000 Mhz takes 48.82 seconds.

Maybe what Intel should do is design faster processors. Writing custom SpecInt compiler created some ammunition for Elmer's FUD campaign, but the ammunition is running low.

In the long run, throwing around score from one benchmark compiled by a custom compiler for that benchmark will not do it.
