For some reason, your comment reminds me of the saying,

"A fool and his money are soon parted."

But investors are obsessed with numbers. The first interpretation of any number is rarely
correct.

Anyone selling stocks based upon the change in the value of a ratio without any understanding of underlying numbers and their movement deserves to be parted from his money.
