stillcrazyafteralltheseyears?...Well, Intel was asleep at the switch and is now throwing money at the problem.....will it work? money throwing is usually an act of desperation and fails to hit the target as the tech changes and other gain entry for far less after you break the ground.
I am sure Intel will ramp enormousle, try to kill off all the mobo makers by making 400 MHZ and Intel only lake....it is their only course of action. So we will have a fork in the road. AMD/VIA etc on one path and Intel the other.
The Athlon scales well to 400 MHZ bus speed so a descendant of the Athlon will compete and as long as AMD acts smarter than Intel it will keep gaining.
Kumar?.....he has so obviously failed in his task and shown both stupidity as well as his bias that Piper must be easing him out as we speak.
