Vol - What is the agenda for both the FEd and the Houses

Well the Fed must be delighted. Mr Greenspan's opinions have been vindicated at last. That this might turn out to be the Greatest Depression in History I don't suppose counts.

MY guess is that the Fed's agenda at this time is to change peoples expecatations .....downwards. That they have done this time in style. I hope they are satisfied. Will we hear from Mr Myers this week saying how tough they are going to be.

These day if anyone even says the word Greenspan on CNBC the NAZ bug on the screen takes an immediate dive.

And Mr Klein....sure he's noly doing his job...right. Any chance of him saying to himself this weekend 'Hmmmmm wonder if that crash had anything whatsoever to do with my trying to 'punish' MSFT?"

Can we expect a little ease up form Mr Klein, just a tad of mercy......hmmmm? Yeh ....right. Don't hold your breath.

The Houses. Well the problem of your scenario is that if you are right then they just carry on doing what they did last week and hope to pick up even more stock at rock bottom prices.

On the other hand if your hypothesis is wrong and they are as helpeless and clueless as the rest of us ( which I am beginning to suspect) then we are in an even worse mess.

How about my strategy of buying a bunch of puts for the rest of the week.

Best regards,

L

I just love this Porch! Nothing is sacred. Nothing is Off Topic.

We sure cover a wide variety of subjects:
Woman's Rights
Religeon
Politics

...And the day is only a few hours old.

I'm looking for opinions on the following:
Inter-racial Marriage
Can White be worn after Labor Day and still be en vogue?
Are there really UFO's
What secrets do you think the government is hiding from us?
Chicken or egg?
Is the Atkins Diet Healthy?
Who was the best baseball team ever? (Just joking, we all know it was the '98 Yankees.)

:^)

Please try to cover at least one of these topics in each post you make today. I'm hoping to nail post #15,000 before dinner time?

Got any other controversial topics for discussion?

If John Wayne fought Arnold Schwartzenegger, who would win?

-Clappy

P.S. Personally I think John Wayne would have kicked his az and Clint Eastwood's at the same time.

Discaimer: The author wears white long after Labor Day.
