Dave,

Good one. You pulled me in. I'm sitting there
thinking XW...hmmm like XY line, nope. The
backwards D should have been the tip off but my
head is so far up my pain I'm telling everyone
I don't have, that I didn't see it.

Thanks for sharing that letter. So they can't
say where they are with FDA because JNJ advised
them against doing so. I can see that. And they're
saying soon for UK finalization. I'm quite certain
it's another huge drug company in the UK they're
dealing with. I also recall Peter saying he didn't
feel time-to-market would be that long once both
these pieces complete. They are undoubtedly also
gearing up for UK production at the plant we now own
and I would think will begin stockpiling fairly soon.
I wonder if they're hiring in Montreal?

Thinking about it this weekend, I feel its probable
that there is either a contingency on the JNJ deal
or a disclosure clause in the deal preventing it
from being announced by Dimethaid. To support this
I recall Rebecca saying at the AGM that there were
some tax issues remaining and no substantive issues.

I had originally felt the true holdup was production
volume guarantees wanted by JNJ. If JNJ commits huge
sales effort investments, they need to cover their
exposure to not having sufficient supply. This for
me was the reason for the purchase of the plant.

Not for FDA approval; but, to ensure timely capital
investment in plant expansion. I don't believe the
confidence was there in the previous owners but can't
tell if that was operational or capital. It may also
be that Dimethaid in the end simply wanted control and
that portion of the revenue as has been suggested here
previously.

I also continue to talk to the company and I continue
to be confident of their success. I would hope it gets
no worse than this month where QLT as we know gets FDA
approval and watches the stock go down.

Now where's my helmet??

Wolf
