Mike, I do not know who is supplying the equipment but I do know that a small company holds the patent that permits standard wireline CPE (customer premises equipment which are standard phones, fax machines, etc.) to operate on wireless networks. The Invention provides a standard dial tone, off- hook detection signal and other signals usually provided by the Local Exchange Carrier. The link to the core patent is: 164.195.100.11 The continuation patents for this technology are 4,775,997, 4,737,975, and 4,922,517. The core patent is in effect until late 2004. The company holds a total of 17 patents based around this technology. The CEO has said at their last CC that they will be involved. I wish I could be 100% sure but there is just not enough information to connect the dots. One question I have is does this apply to MMDS (which I think ATT's system is but am not sure about that either). The company has told me it does.
