Jim - RE: "Sunday paper adds show just about all retailers are offering at least a 900 Mhz Athlon system..."

Why don't I see any 9XXMHz Intel based systems for sale? I thought yields are high. Oh yeah, binsplits are what determine that. So if yields are high, but binsplits aren't very high yet, does that mean MANY of those over 1M Cumines per week aren't high-MHz?

Oops, looks like you already answered my question - "I agree with Elmer, Intel is not having a problem yielding low Mhz parts."

"Demand is great, yields are fine" (TM Intel) "MHz, on the other hand..."

Jimmy,

re:"PS...Sunday paper adds show just about all retailers are offering at least a 900 Mhz Athlon system..."

Well there you have it.

Its PROOF:

1. Nobody wants fast Athlons thats why they are having to advertise them. Meanwhile Coppermines sell so fast NO advertising is required.

2. AMD's YIELDS at 1GHZ are POOR. Thats why they are STUCK with all this slow 900Mhz stuff.

JAJAJAJAJA

regards,

Kash

Jim,

Is that because you bought more Intel on Friday?
