Now that's not a bad idea.

Used to be an excellent poster on Tech Stock Options here on SI who had a computer job in the markets. He became rather busy with work and has not posted in a year and a half.

But it would lend you something along the lines of what you are looking for, a job with an income and benefits and yet the access to enable you to trade at the same time.

Seems worth pursuing, if it really appeals to you that much.
