Come on Vic, let's all guess as to which of these companies will announce stock buybacks:

1) Amazon
2) Cisco
3) MicroStrategy
4) Commerce One
5) Red Hat
6) Price Line
7) Vertical Net
8) Global Crossing
9) iVillage
10) The Street
11) Echelon
12) Buy.com

Ooh, I can hardly wait for the smart directors of these undervalued companies to take advantage of market conditions and buy back their clearly undervalued stock!

>>Oct '87 public co's announced stock buybacks, giving investors some sense of their confidence in the ultimate value of their own shares.

Absolutely. Signs of accumulation (shares going from weak hands to strong hands) would be very constructive. Have you seen any buyback announcements in the past week?
