Mr. Tibbs - Please refer to this which was posted by Mossguy as respects how Phillips will be using Wave. Please note that this is not WaveXpress!!
mossguy NAB Day #5, PM and FINAL REPORT:

A good day for WAVX and WaveXpress. It hasn't been formally announced yet, but WAVX and one of its new partners, Philips Electronics, won the "Editor's Choice" product award for their internet streaming product demostrated at the Philips booth here. The judges were the editors of the official NAB conference magazine, issued daily. So this will give WAVX a nice PR boost among content companies and others.

To clarify, this has nothing to do with WaveXpress--this is an internet/software based solution to e-commerce that WAVX has been quietly moving forwar on with Philips. It does not use EMBASSY. Rather, it uses WAVX own network and servers to process credit card transactions for content providers. I went by the booth, got briefed and watched a demo. The product will be formally launched this summer, with Philips as a partner. As you may recall, while WAVX is concentrating on the hardware/EMBASSY solution as the best method of security/metering and e-commerce, it does want to be a full-service provider, so this is its internet/software product that will be available now, for content companies that are already moving in this area and who don't mid slightly less security than EMBASSY. WAVX and Philips are launching in computer products, but the goal is to eventually move to consumer elctronics, where Philips is a dominant player, according to the WAVX briefer of our group. The briefer called traffic to the demo "crazy," as in very busy. The product is MPEG-4 based player, open standard, Level 5 security standards (the highest for software). Look for more PR on this coming.

Dear Blaine,

I did not come "over here" from CYBG. As a naive, I played CYBG and ZITL upon the pernicious hype of David Stewart.

stewartreport.com

When reminded of David, I now think of a pitiful, physically and morally wasted sort of guy.
May some turn in his life be a cure for his tawdry condition: that he might add - rather than subtract - from the general good.

Sincerely,
Marty
