Jill - re the soul searching market declines - just a possible scenario. Heck, I'm going to go long when the chart says, the difference between me (and most folks here I'm sure) and the average investing public is that if things reverse in a meaningful way and head back down, I'll be out in a flash with no recriminations.

I personally do not care if the market goes up or down. In the peak of the bull market I made most of my money short selling, believe it or not. I expect I will make most of my money going long at some point in the future. But regardless, we all just need to be open to different scenarios and prepare.

That's why I like this thread - lots of great input from all corners.

PS: I have two PALM OS devices - a Palm and a Handspring. So I'm part of the problem I guess... :) however one thing to think about (and I'm not qualified for this discussion) is how the investment community and available capital will play out in the medium term future. The build out of all these wireless markets/devices/infrastructure takes a lot of capital. Perhaps it won't be as available... could be all manner of recriminations. Build out costs and users to pay for the service -- I still wonder if the world is all tech-ed out now and needs a breather.

Have a nice weekend,
Michael
