David, I have come to enjoy your rational and low-key posts. I think this "Bubble" thing is just a periodic mass hysteria created by people's general inability to read a log-linear chart. Most people look at linear-linear chart and get totally freaked out when "the chart goes parabolic" and think "the line is not sustainable." The reality is that over time, stock prices, which should follow an exponential curve, should be able to beat any parabolic or linear line thrown at them. Those hysterical moments are just opportunities for a few to make a bundle at the expense of the weaker hands. To the extent that it might shake people's confidence in equities and consequently damage the underlying economy, it's just a plain waste of time in society's pursuit of prosperity. Jim
